The governor of California Jerry Brown said that he is no longer pushing for bipartisan deal on budget saying that he is working with the Democrats lawmakers with interest only on spending plan. It was the democratic lawmakers that are agreeing with him on spending plan. The bipartisan deal on tax could not be reached.

The governor disclosed this while he was unveiling the state budget to the public on Monday. The governor had reached a deal with the democratic law makers to cutbacks in future if the expected income could be not being realized. The details on the programs that could be affected by such cut were not provided by the governor.

It is expected that the law makers would vote on the budget on Tuesday and the governor has already indicated that he will sign the budget as soon as the votes are conducted. He said that the state has made some tough decisions adding that state courts and state universities would be affected by the cuts.

The governor revealed that he talked with the law makers for some months adding that he could not get the support of the Republican law makers. French banks to assist Greeks in U.S. credit market

French banks are going to pay for help the Greece which is ridden with crisis to overcome a sovereign default. The payments are to be done in the US credit markets. The French banks were charged interests in higher rates on US short term borrowing arrangement. This was done at a rate other what was granted to their European rivals. This is after the French bank has cemented their links to help the Greek debts.

However in the long run these higher rates may turn out to be lower price in paper work, and it may benefit the French banks after all.

They may be some hardships in terms of the rollover but in the long term the they could gain by avoiding further disruptions. Investors are charging French banks more than they do to banks from dutch germany when when they decide to buy any US short term obligations. This is because the French banks more any other banks are more exposed to the Greek debts.

The move by the French banks mark the progress in the Greece debt problems from turning into a global economic crisis. The worry in the US market is centered on how the French banks are going to suffer from that deal in an event that the Greece parliament passes some measures within the week.

The airman Theron Griffin was on guard for about 14 hours at Minot. As a sentinel he watched the swelling waters consume everything it comes across. The city has about 12,000 residents who were earlier evacuated from the city. The officials are finding it difficult to curtail the flood which has already created record as the worst ever to be witnessed in the city. Already it is reported that thousands of homes are already submerged and many more are likely to go.

The airman was on hand to tell the story to journalists and authorities. He said that the flood is just intensifying. He said that officials from the local and federal authorities are working hard to remove the dirts and other things that would cause obstruction along the bank of the river.

He said that no less than 3000 homes have gone as result of the flooding. One of the victims was Cassandra Martin who moved to the area few months back. They were forced to leave their homes and like thousands of others are sheltered at Red Cross compound. Because of the intensity of the flood more people are expected to be evacuated away from the neighboring communities.

Libya flays NATO, asks to stop military attack

It is now 100 days since NATO started its military bombardment of Tripoli and Col Moamar Gadhafi is still in power. if not for NATO the second largest city in the country Benghazi was almost annihilated by the ruthless Gadhafi.

However the United Nations Security Council has learnt a lesson from what happened in Kosovo and was not prepared to give the Col chance to deal with the citizens of the country the way he has wanted. The UN quickly passed resolution 1973 which among other things paved the way for the creation of no flying zone inside the country. It authorized the use of all necessary measures to protect the lives of the civilians from the hand of the Gadhafi army.

The UN was passionately moved by the ugly image that was then coming out of Benghazi. If not for the quick intervention the world would have been hearing another story in Benghazi where the blood sucking leader who has been in power for than forty years was not ready to listen to the voice of change.

Encouraging by the bloody mercenaries he had recruited he posted an image that seem to be larger than life. The NATO came to the rescue of the Libyan people with air assault. This was about three months ago. NATO has continued its operation in the country for 100 days, Col Moamar Gadhafi is still in power, not only that the rebels who are supposed to be boosted by NATO operation is finding it difficult to sustain itself in Misrata.

The mayor of the city of Minot Zimbleman had earlier prepared the minds of the city dwellers of the possible flooding of the levees said that the city has been expecting this and warned the residents to leave the areas that are currently affected including the areas that could be affected in the future.

NATO admits carrying out air strikes in Libya

NATO has accepted that it carried out an air strike in Sorman in western part of Libya on Monday morning, it has earlier rejected the claim on that which was made earlier in the day by Libyan government under Col Moamar Gadhafi.

NATO claimed that the site it attacked was a military command and control center. It also said that it carried out another attack in capital Tripoli which may have caused the death of some people. Earlier today journalists were conducted round a place in a rural area which was located about 80 kilometers from the capital Tripoli which was targeted by NATO air attacks. The apartment which was destroyed was owned by a prominent member of Gadhafi government. The attack was said to have claimed the lives of about 15 people.

Countries and prominent individuals in Europe, US and other countries in the Arab world have criticized the indiscriminate bombing by NATO soldiers. NATO forces moved to Libya with the aim of protecting the civilian population which they have now turned against.

It is believed that the rebels with the support of NATO had failed to make significant push into vital areas which are still under the command of Gadhafi forces.
