Osama bin Laden finding boosts CIA image

CIA has shown that equipped with latest technology, increased funding and better organization it can tackle incidents like the 9-11 attack on US.

It was revealed that after the 9-11 attack the first set of CIA officials who were deployed to Afghanistan to trace Osama Bin Laden were ill prepared and ill equipped for the mission.

However it is surprising the impact that technology can make just ten years to the 9-11 attack. The US intelligence were better equipped, funded and organized which culminated in the killing of Osama Bin Laden. The US seal was able to lay hand on the technology which combed the nooks and crannies of Pakistan to discover where the most wanted man on earth was hiding himself after almost ten years man hunt.

With the use of satellite photos the Navy seal knew everything about the hide out of Osama. The CIA was able to piece all the information together and became convinced that the wanted man was within the building the seal has captured in photo.

Thus CIA was able to redeem itself after the error of judgment that contributed to the invasion of Iraq. However the success over Osama had shown what technology can do to carry out the most successful spy over conducted on earth. It would be recalled the CIA was organized after the Iraqi invasion of 2003.

Syrian military confront protesters in north

The protest which started in Tunisia and later spread to the other Middle countries is taking its worst toll in Syria where the military of the country is bent on cracking down the protesters. The Syrian army roll its tanks to the Northern city Baniyas on.

It is part of the campaign by the Syrian government to destroy the leaderless opposition movement that wants change in the political structure of the Arabic nation.

Already the heavy use of force by the Syrian military is being criticized by international community and human right organizations world wide. The international condemnation was triggered off by the reported shooting and killing of three women near Baniyas by the soldiers when they joined other demonstrators.

The government responded by severing both land and wireless communication in the city making it impossible for the information regarding the brutalizing of the Syrian citizens from being seeing by the international community.

It would be recalled that the Syrian soldiers opened fire on its own citizens who were protesting on Friday demanding a change in the leadership of that country. This action by the Syrian army led to the death of not less than 30 unarmed citizens. This act elicited outrage from the international community but the Syrian government has turned deaf ears to the appeal from the international community.

The surging Mississippi river may prove to be a large scale disaster. From the trends of the flooding, the swelling is well over recorded levels sending panics down the spine of the already traumatized city residents.

The over flooding of the water along the Midwest has already caused panic among the population as many of the dwellers of the city had started to move their belongings away from the city. The rate of the flooding has put to serious tests the levees which were put to checkmate the surging water.

Already the residents are warned to get prepared for the worst flooding the city is going to witness for over seventy years. The flooding according to the warning may even start tonight. It is the persistent rainfall that is putting the river above the basin limits. The rainfall is worsening the already devastated water levels in the city.

He blamed the city’s woes to the state and federal government.

Water flooding in Mississippi Delta has opened another chapter in the political and historical evolution of the city. For years the people of the Cleveland are known to be fascinated about politics, crops and other important national issues that could better their future in American politics.

U.S. drone Killed al Qaeda militants, Missed al-Awlaki

A US born al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki has escaped US drone plane attack on Thursday in Yemen. However the attack killed two al Qaeda militants. The US officials were not happy the air attack missed the unrepentant al Qaeda leader. Anwar al-Awlaki is one of those al Qaeda leaders who encourage attack on United States of America. The air strike was carried out in the Southern Yemen, one of the areas that are considered as the stronghold of al Qaeda and its militants in Yemen.

It is estimated that well over 300 Al Qaeda militants were located within that Arabian Peninsula. The strongholds of the militants group in that region are in the mountains that are located at Abyan, Shabwa, Marib and Jouf. It is assumed that the militants are responsible for the series of attacks that were carried out against the government of Yemen in recent pasts.

The group is accused of being responsible for the US Muslims attacks in the United States of America. Some instances of such attacks include the Texas shooting where an army personal was alleged to have killed about 13 people, injuring about 32 others. They are known to have attempted to smuggle dangerous weapons including explosives to United States of America.

US Intelligence Report: Al-Qaeda was planning another 9-11 Attack

Just few days after the killing of Osama Bin Laden by U.S. Navy seals facts are beginning to emerge on some of the documents that were sized from the former al Qaeda leader.

The US intelligence has reported that it has covered a document which showed that the former terror leader was planning to unleash another terror to the Americans on the anniversary of 9-11 terror attack.

The US Home security department revealed that the attack was to be carried out on the trains at different locations in the United States of America. The reports further disclosed that the al Qaeda was planning to tamper with some of the rail lines so that trains will spill off the track in a bridge or the valley.

The security department however said that it has no link to provide or to show that the threat was active or not. It appears that this was among the first piece of information that was gathered when the US seal stormed the residence of Osama Bin Laden and put him to death. There are other valuable documents that were recovered from the home of the former terror leader.

It will be recalled that US Navy seal carried out attack at Abbottabad Pakistan residence of Mr. Osama Bin Laden and killed him in the operation. The death of Osama is a big boost to the fight against terror. US president Mr. Obama has already congratulated the seal for a job that was well executed.

Medicare differences reveal House GOP’s rifts

The Republicans in the American congress appeared confused over the Obama administration Medicare program. This is evident from the conflicting statements of senior members of the party in congress.

The rift was apparent from the confusion that was created by the Republican Majority Leader of the House Eric Cantor who contradicted himself before the important meeting in White House with President Obama over the Medicare differences between the two parties.

It appears that the Republican House committee chairman on Budget Paul Ryan is more articulate and better informed on the issue. The contradictions of the top Republican lawmakers may not go well for the party as they paid a price for it in the recent recess.

The confusion over the issue was further heightened by the budget committee chairman who said that it is unlikely that the Medicare program of Obama regime would commence by this summer. They described the plan as being over ambiguous. It would be recalled that the budget was adopted just last month but the ongoing debate and disagreement over the Medicare is one of the gray areas that is yet to be settled in the budget.

Other republican members had voted in support of what Ryan stood for during the last month congressional voting for the budget. Not many of them especially the rank and file will like the ineffectiveness of their leadership over the issue.

Obama denies releasing photos of Bin Laden’s corpse

The president of the United States of America, Barack Obama has rejected call to release the photo of the former al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. The present controversies over Laden’s Corpse, and the questions raised whether the US officials followed proper Islamic death ceremony traditions have perhaps pressurized Obama to keep silent.

The president heeded the advice of the US Secretary of Defense Robert Gay and secretary of state counterpart Mrs. Clinton that the release of the graphic photograph of Osama Bin Laden would constitute a security threat to the US. President Obama was speaking in a press interview with CBS news program that there is no doubt that the US has seen the end of Osama Bin Laden.

Obama had a discussion with the national security team where it was agreed that the release of the graphic picture of the death of Osama Bin laden could spark off violence reaction from his followers.

There are have been rumours that have been going on around the white house for two days about the possible release of the photos but the recent pronouncement by Mr. Obama has put to rest that expectations among reporters attached to the white house. The decision to withhold the pictures from the public was favored by the top echelon of the administration as well as the security chiefs.

Anxiety rises along the flood-swollen Mississippi

There is anxiety all over the neighborhood of the lower Mississippi. The residents have packed their belongings and the emergency workers are busy feeling bags with sands to prevent the river from overflowing the neighborhood.

Already thousands of residents have already started moving out of the area. From the intensity of the impending flooding this may be one of the largest disasters that befall the neighborhood since 1920s.

There is an expectation that the same thing which was done in Missouri where army engineers blew the levee where the water has to escape in order to save the teaming thousands of the population who would have been negatively affected. Already muddy and farmers are already in desperate move to have way out of the ugly situations.

There are indications that the water level has reached what was obtained in the 1927 and 1937 that produced some of the worst flood ever recorded in history would likely repeat itself.

However because of the protective measures that were put in place those years of turbulent floods the current threat may not be as destructive as that of the seventy years ago. The levees as well as the locks which were built then can be used once more to deal with the threats.
